Tuesday, we headed first to the Citta' dei Bambini (basically a children's museum). (Tim did manage to duck into the Cathedral on the way down to the ocean front.) The kids had a great time at the children's museum, including playing with water, bubbles, construction equipment, optical illusions, and all kinds of other things. It culminated with a short class on (from what I could tell from outside) things science-y (including searching for "bugs" with a magnifying glass, for example). After the museum (and another lunch of focaccia), we strolled around the "Renaissance walk" of Genova, which was a nice way to see the city (albeit, pretty quickly). We headed back to the hotel to collect our cars. Amy, GP, and Milena headed back to Trento, and our party headed back to Piemonte. The last picture here is actually a view up from the middle of the lobby of our hotel in Genova.
