Under the Weather

We've had a really bad case of something around here lately. We had people visiting from out of town, and Maya managed to make us all terribly sick. She got kinda sent home one day from day care for "maybe she's sick..." Here's queen Maya:

You can tell she feels terrible. As my friend Jamie (who was sick alongside us) says: if Maya was really that sick and stayed that happy, she must be a good baby...

Online Fun

Maya's found some games online that she can enjoy. Here she is jumping into the fun:

And here she is mid-swing; you can see she's already found her way to a screen that's not intentional. Perhaps it's time for a dedicated Maya-machine...

Happy Thanksgiving

Our blog posts are beyond delinquent, but GG has demanded more, so here they are. We had a fabulous Thanksgiving. Mom, Dad, and Jocelyn joined us, and Ron and Joann were also in from Springfield. James and Laura were joined by her parents, and all joined us for a great Thanksgiving spread. Dad brought wine and some desserts (pecan pie made from pecans harvested in their backyard and cranberry upside down cake) and Laura's dad (a professional chef, by the way) brought some fabulous sweet potatoes. This all joined Tim's famously large feast, including the turkey, two kinds of stuffing, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, the world's best gravy, homemade cranberry sauce, brussels sprouts, asparagus, roasted root vegetables, and pumpkin pie. I made an apple pie. Yum. For days...

Mom and Dad brought Ginger over, Ron and Joann brought Elway, and we were babysitting Tim's mom's dog for the holidays, too. The dogs had a good time romping out back, while Ginger teased Maya:

Then made her way to her dad's lap for a rest.

Addie cuddled with her mom on the couch:

Race for the Cure

Last weekend, we also did the Race for the Cure. Tim ran the timed version of the race; he won his age group and was 7th overall. There are some photos of him here. The rest of us took it slower (in fact, Tim walked the race backwards, met us, and then finished the rest with us). Here we are as a group pre-race:

The crowds were crazy. Here's the crowd in front of us at the start:

and behind us:

It took us 20 minutes after the race had started before we were at the starting line. People spread out a little after that, but the finish was crazy too; we slowed down with a few blocks to go and had to stroll across the line in a mob. There are some pictures of us finishing here. (Mom's easy to find; for the rest of us, you have to do a little "Where's Waldo?".)

Family Photos

This past Saturday, we had some family photos taken. We figured it's getting on Maya's 6 month birthday... we should have some professional shots. Here are some samples of the results:

Bouncy Maya

Here's a video of Maya's new weight-loss program. It's six and a half minutes long, but that's one of the reasons its so funny... You should be able to watch just by clicking on the play icon in the middle of the picture. Can you spot the "event" at around the second minute?
