Washington DC (or, Forgive Us, Angela)

I've already talked to Angela, but a second "forgive me?" is in order. Don't worry; we'll be back... and on your side of town.

This past week, I had to go to DC for a meeting, so Mom and Maya came with me. We got a chance to have dinner with an old friend from college and with some extended family. And we got to see snow! My meeting also ended a little early on Thursday, so we got a quick jaunt around some of the sights in town, too. Here are some photos (and I apologize, but I apparently don't know how to use our point and click digital...some of the photos are woefully out of focus...)

Cleaning Up...

So Maya has been being very helpful around mealtimes. She sets the table (don't worry if you come for dinner... we don't let her carry the guests' silverware to the table), and she puts her plate in the sink when she's finished. In fact, last night, she threw a mini temper tantrum when I took her plate to the sink FOR her. I had to bring it back to the table so SHE could take it there.

Oh, and she gobbled up the snapper we made for dinner last night, too, insisting on seconds, and thirds, and... Looks like she's daddy's little girl.
