Fourth of July

For the fourth this year in Texas, fireworks were really hard to come by.  (Please, someone, send RAIN!)  But Fort Hood put on the FreedomFest, complete with (free) carnival rides, some war machines to climb all over, live music, and a great fireworks show.  We headed out in the evening with Arthur (who was back for a weeklong visit) and Audrey.  We missed the worst of the heat, still managed to get in plenty of climbing and riding, and even had time for shaved ice before the fireworks.  Here are some photos of Maya (and everyone else) having a grand old time.

I wasn't going to post this because it requires some embarrassingly bad pictures of me, including one in a swimsuit.  But what the heck.  They're mostly pictures that are on this blog anyway...
