Go Tigers!
Well, the Tigers lost a big football game this weekend. But it wasn't for lack of enthusiastic fans in Texas...
Another Grandma and Grandpa...
Grandpa Tim and Grandma Shelly came to visit for Thanksgiving, too! Maya was so excited to have MORE grandparents to dote on her.
On Friday, the weather held (it was in the lower 60s and just a little sprinkly), so we went to Zilker park to the Botanical Gardens for the Dino-land exhibit and to ride the train. Then we hit the new (much closer!) Salt Lick for dinner.

Uncle Weirdo!
Arthur is back on leave for a few weeks. It was great timing... he got his sweet potato pie for Thanksgiving dinner. Tim has Maya convinced that his name is "Uncle Weirdo," though. If you ask Maya where Uncle Arthur is, she'll hold up her hands in the "I don't know" gesture. If you ask where Uncle Weirdo is, she gets it every time. Either way, Maya warmed up to Uncle Arthur pretty quickly. For example:
Christine: OK, if you eat some more pork, you can have some more raisins.
Arthur: Maya, you want more raisins? Here you go...
And then there were the chocolate chip cookies...

Atlanta Aquarium
This week, Maya and I traveled to Atlanta for a conference. (Another conference that arranged day care! Yay!) The conference banquet was held at the Atlanta aquarium, which was just fantastic. Neither Jamie nor I remembered our cameras, but here are some photos from my phone... It was a real bummer I couldn't get higher quality shots.

Do you want to touch?
Tim got a new range for the kitchen... I got a new computer for the kitchen... It's awesome.
Happy Halloween

Race for the Cure
This morning, a group of the family got up early for the Austin Race for the Cure. Tim, Maya, mom, dad, grandma, and I all headed downtown early. Tim ran the timed race again, while the rest of us walked. Mom and grandma opted for the mile-long race, while dad and I pushed Maya for the 5K. Tim walked the race backwards and met us about halfway. Like last year, Tim won his age group. He was also 11th overall. Here are some photos that attempt to convey what great fun we had and what amazing turnout there was (more than 24,000 people!).
