Bamberg

Yesterday, we visited the town of Bamberg in the morning, then drove to Rostock, Germany. Bamberg is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city sits on the banks of and some islands in the Regnitz River. The old city hall actually sits on its own little island. It was a lovely town to spend the morning walking around before having to sit in the car for a while.

We had breakfast at a cafe on a bridge over the river.

This part of Bamberg is called Little Venice.

We headed up to the castle at Altenburg to have lunch, only to discover that the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays (unbeknownst to Google).

So we settled on lunch at this other castle...
