Opera in Verona

Saturday night, Tim and Audrey went to see the opera in Verona.  Maya and I did not join them since, well, the opera doesn't start until after 9pm.  You'll get a post about what Maya and I did instead, but that should really come from Maya.

Audrey and Tim had some time to wander around Verona and have what is reported to have been a super delicious dinner before the show.  The opera in Verona is apparently a real event.  They do the show in the old arena in Verona without any microphones.  The acoustics are apparently so superb that amplification is not necessary.  They saw the opera Romeo and Juliet; you'll have to get one of them to describe the show to you.  It sounds like it was a significantly modern take on the staging... Tim describes one part where one of the family's matriarchs came out in effectively a "dragon-mobile"; when the dragon-mobile left the stage, it apparently shot a fireball into the sky.

It appears that Audrey took more photos than Tim (what?  Is that possible?).  Hers are first, followed by Tim's.

And Tim's:
