And Audrey's:

Bergamo
Sunday, we had to head back towards Milan, since Audrey had an early morning flight on Monday. We decided to go to Bergamo on the way, where we had a lovely pizza lunch and then explored this charming medieval city. The city is separated into two parts: Citta Bassa and Citta Alta. (Literally, something like the upper city and the lower city.) We saw mostly only the upper city, which is older. The GPS took us on a very circuitous drive into the city (when I was driving), which included a long stint on a very windy one-lane yet two-way road. When Tim drove as we left, the GPS took us on very wide streets down through the newer part of the city. In any case... Bergamo was just splendid, the weather was perfect, and we all had a lovely time. Including the stop for Gelato at the end of the day. Again, photos in two parts: Tim's first this time, then Audrey's.
