Saturday, we drove to Padova, which was between one and a half to two and a half hours, depending on the traffic. We spent the first part of our day wandering around the markets and seeing the Basilica of Saint Anthony. We had first lunch at the Prato della Valle, then we had a second lunch on the Piazza della Frutto, then we wandered around to see the (outsides of) several more sites in town. It was really hot, but Padova was a just plain lovely place to visit. I expect we'll go back.
