Bolzano

On Friday, we drove up to Bolzano, spent the late morning wandering around the old city, had some German food for lunch, and then took the funicular up to Soprabolzano, a hill that rises above the city and hosts a mild, temperate area favored by vacationers.  Up on Soprabolzano, we took a little tram and then a short walk (hike?) to see some earth pyramids.  The earth pyramids weren't all that impressive, but some of the views of the distant valleys and mountains along the way made the trek more than worth it.  We headed back down into Bolzano for dinner before we headed home to Trento.  Below are two groups of photos: Tim's first, then Audrey's.
