Are these Tim's photos? You won't believe #17!

I'm trying out clickbaiting....and it worked! The answer is yes, these are my photos. I didn't actually number them (that was just a trick to get you to look at them). I think they are all completely believable. Yesterday I went on a hike into the mountains West of the town of Pinzolo in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, specifically in Genova Valley. It was my intention to park at the end of this valley (which dead ends surrounded on three sides by mountains and a glacier) at a rifugio (backpackers' hostel/restaurant) and hike up the mountain to a different rifugio and an alpine lake. Recently the park decided to close part of its roads and limit traffic in certain areas to public transport (park buses that run only in summer).  So I parked beside the closed traffic gate and pulled out my trusty phone and picked a different trail (maps.me is pretty awesome for this sort of thing). It turns out the random trail was pretty spectacular. It was steep, about 50 degrees F, and raining (turns out water really reduces the coefficient of friction of smooth granite and large exposed pine roots). There were also multiple giant waterfalls, a rainbow, an alpine meadow, and Papa Smurf's Italian villa (he wasn't home). I took some pictures.

Editor's Note: It may seem like there are a lot of pictures, but I took just under 500 during the hike. So, really, you should be pretty upset that I gave you so few. Enjoy.

These made me homesick for Seattle, WA. Gorgeous! One of those red mushrooms with white dots should have been #17! I didn't believe real mushrooms could actually look like that particular mushroom cliché.
