Almost three

We celebrated Cora's birthday a day early. (Tomorrow's Monday, and a school/work day, so today was much more fun). We started with a birthday breakfast. Tim found some legit bacon (Cora's favorite), and I made some homemade biscuits (with a side of sugary syrup) and eggs. Yum!

After breakfast, we took the funicular to Sardagna. It's a short trip, visible daily from our apartment. The girls definitely got a kick out of it. We had great views back down to Trento, and goofed around up on the hill for about an hour before heading back for nap time.

After nap, Cora opened her presents. There was some great stuff (like a homemade kitchen from grandma Audrey, a crown ("gown") from grandma Susan and grandpa Craig (Cora did NOT forget that they gave her her real present before we left Austin), a kinder egg from Maya (bought with Maya's own money), and a Masha and Orso train set from mom and dad. Cora and Maya played for a bit, then our friends showed up for Cora's party.

Cora had requested chicken, green beans, and rice, and Tim delivered. It was all washed down with a healthy serving of cupcakes. I'd show you photos of the cupcakes and candles, but, well, Tim forgot that there was no memory card in the camera. So perhaps we'll seek a repeat performance tomorrow night with the leftover cupcakes.
