Walks Around Trento

I have a new camera. Here are a few photos taken in and around Trento. On September 18th there were dark clouds and bright sunshine, simultaneously. These are all taken with the lens I bought in Milan before our visit to EXPO. On the 19th, we went to a very nice park for a double birthday party (for two of Maya’s new classmates). There was a wooden fish (and a Cora) screaming to have its picture taken. These were taken with my iPhone because I didn’t bring my camera to the party because I think it’s weird to take pictures of children I don’t know. The following day we went for a walk to a gelato place that was purported to have “weird flavors”. It turns out that “weird flavors” means slightly non-traditional flavors (like fig) or traditional flavors in slightly non-traditional combinations (like honey and hazelnuts). Oh, Italy. We settled for gelato that was not weird, just delicious. Maya did, although, proclaim that her scoop of stracciatella (chocolate chip) was not going to make it on her list of top two Trento stracciatella gelato scoops. She suffered through it. Christine took a photo of me with mine. I like gelato, hence the obvious excitement on my face. You can also see the new lens that I ordered online that had just arrived. You can’t see the new camera, because you aren’t ready for that. I took some photos on our walk and at the playground on the way home. Who doesn’t like disconcertingly creepy statues and parking signs for slightly faded 12 week old puppies?
