Today at school, Cora did not have a good day. She has cried every morning when Tim drops her off, but we assume that it is short lived. However, she has been having some trouble napping. Today, she apparently was inconsolable for an hour during nap time. The teacher wrote Tim a note ("Dear Cora's Daddy..." it started), asking him to stop to speak with her in the morning to see what kind of a solution we could work out. Uh oh...
Maya, on the other hand, regaled me with stories about her history lesson (which was also apparently a test). She learned about the big bang and that the earth was first a very hot mass of rock. Then there were tiny animals that turned into fossils. Then fish. Then fish that figured out how to walk onto the land. And eventually dinosaurs. And there were volcanoes. But the dinosaurs were all killed when a big rock from space hit the earth (or, at least, she says, that's probably what happened).
