We spent Monday wandering around Perugia. The towns in Umbria all sit up on hilltops,
which makes navigating them, um, tiring, but it also makes the vistas from them
beautiful. (You can even see all the way to Assisi in some of the photos.)
After wandering around the center in and out of churches and through medieval
ruins that the city actually sits upon, we wandered into the “suburbs” to a
weaving museum that Christine had heard something about. It started raining just before we arrived,
but what we found was a really neat collection of looms and other weaving
paraphernalia. We then walked through the rain to another very old church
outside of town. As it was our wedding
anniversary, Audrey was sweet to let us go to dinner. She kept the kids and we had a really nice
dinner at a great find in the university part of town. Below are a mixture of Tim and Audrey’s
pictures.
