Doss Trento

This morning, the weather was beautiful, and Maya was in an accommodating mood (which is necessary for this particular venture; Cora was carried in a backpack, but everyone else had to walk up a big big hill), so we decided to walk to the top of Doss Trento. The walk itself is nice. At the top is a very impressive memorial to Cesare Battisti (if you're a regular reader, you'll remember when I told you about him a while back). He's a famous Trentino revolutionary. There are also some remnants (mostly just the foundation stones) of a basilica paleocristiana (a basilica from early Christian times) that we had learned about in our visit to the Tridentum site previously. Most of us had a good time. Cora (who has not been napping at school) was less than thrilled with parts of the day for no obvious reasons. She took a three and a half hour nap when we returned home.
