Trip to Baltimore

This past weekend, Tim had a conference in Baltimore, so Maya and I joined HIM for once. We flew up early Friday morning. Friday afternoon was the start of the conference, so Maya and I busied ourselves with a stroll around the Inner Harbor. It was lovely (and the weather was great!) but there were a few too many people for my taste. Anyway, this stroll included trying out our new stroller and a climb up a lighthouse:

Saturday, we met Angela, Jim, Evie, and Zane at the Baltimore Aquarium. The kids had a great time, and Maya and Evie (who are very close in age) got along great. There was a 4D theater show that neither cared for, and they fought over who got to sit in Jim's lap during the show. I don't have great pictures from the aquarium, but you can check out Angela's blog (she's more experienced at simultaneous picture taking/child watching than I). Just pretend that's not OUR daughter with a pacifier in her mouth...

Saturday evening, the Dalton's invited us over for dinner to their place too. Angela cooked a GREAT meal, and the kids had more play time. It was great fun.

Sunday, Maya and I got up thinking we would go to the children's museum. But it didn't open until 12, so we panned that idea and took a stroll in the direction of the B&O Railroad Museum. I figured we'd at least see some engines... But they were having "Day Out with Thomas" instead! So we had a great time playing with all of the Thomas trains and et cetera. All, that is, except for the visit from Mr. Topham Hatt. Maya wanted NOTHING to do with that. We then met Tim for lunch for the world's BEST crab cakes and headed for the airport.

Tim did manage some strolls of his own on Sunday evening and during his breaks on Monday. Here's a sampling of his photos. I'm sure you can tell a difference between his photography and mine, even with the same equipment...
