As long as you're white and rich.
First, as we were watching the republican convention the past few nights, and we noticed a stark contrast to the democratic convention. Almost everyone is white. Turns out it's not just who got on the camera. (See this article from the Washington Post.) Less than 2% of the delegates to the Republican Convention are black and 5% are hispanic. (For anyone who hasn't been following the changing demographics of the United States, this is not on par with the more than 12% black population of the US and the more than 14% hispanic population.)
Second, the Tax Policy Center did a review of both candidates' tax proposals (both as described by campaign representatives and as presented on the campaign trail). While the linked summary is straight from the source, I think the table here sums it up nicely. I don't know for sure how we should define "middle class," but the mean family income in the US in 2006 was $48,561, while the median was $70,354. I'll leave it to you to decide which plan helps the middle class more.
OK, seriously. I'll try to contain myself from now on. Probably no one but my dad and Laura appreciate these posts in lieu of Maya photos...

It's not blatant liberalism. Just logic and observation...
