Milan: Day 2

On our second day in Milan, we started by heading to the Duomo.  We toured it inside and out, including scaling the steps to the roof and walking along the roofline to see the top of the church, and the view from the top, more clearly.  From the Duomo, we walked north through a large park (and past a castle) to a delicious lunch at an Indian restaurant.  Maya and I headed back to the hotel for a nap, while Tim went into the Sforza castle to see a trio of museums that included one of almost exclusively statues, one of furniture, and one of famous Italian paintings.  After the castle, he wandered back to the Duomo to see it in the dark, then we all met up for a drink and some pasta.

Milan: Day 1

On our first day in Milan, after checking into the hotel, we started walking from our hotel (near the central train station) into the city center.  We grabbed a snack at a snack cart and then wandered through a park.  We headed to the Piazza Duomo, where we caught our first glimpses of the church and the Galleria.  We stopped for a (very expensive) coffee near the Duomo before walking back to the hotel before dinner. The hotel concierge recommended the place across the street for dinner, and we had a delicious (albeit pricey) dinner at a "see and be seen" location.
