Santa Fe: Friday

On Friday, we landed in Albuquerque, got our rental car, and started the drive up to Santa Fe.  We took the "scenic" route instead of the interstate, including the drive to Sandia Crest for a some lovely vistas, including back down into Albuquerque.  Upon arriving in Santa Fe, we met up with some old friends (and a new one) for a stroll through Santa Fe and a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.

Hamilton Pool

After some morning shopping and lunch with Grandma, Grandpa, and GG, we decided to spend a couple of hours this afternoon at the Hamilton Pool Nature Preserve.  What a good idea.  It was a lovely day, and we'd never been down there before.  It's beautiful!

Addie's 3!

You know... I gave Laura a lot of time... but these photos are really too cute not to share.

Maya and I returned from Atlanta and basically went straight to Addie's birthday party.  Laura had a whole "dress up" themed party with fancy tea party fixings to go with it.  It was lovely, and the kids all had a really great time.  My photography skills are terrible (actually, I swear it's the camera...), but here are some photos I got.

Preschool Pictures

Who needs to pay a photographer when the preschool teacher sends such great pictures?  (All photos by Stephanie Gunterman, Maya's preschool teacher.)

ACL Fest 2010

I decided not to go to ACL this year, but Tim has been all three days.  This morning he took Maya with him for a couple of hours to check out the kiddie shows and events.  She's home now and in bed... but here she is modeling the punk rock hairdo she got:

Grace Hopper Celebration: Atlanta

This past week, Maya and I have been in Atlanta with six super women from our ECE department at the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing.  Here are some photos from our trip.  First, the group of UT:ECE attendees:
At a park with Jamie and Alex (who were also in attendance):
And at "Sponsor Night" at the Georgia Aquarium (with our friends Angela and Allison, who also attended):

The Dallas Zoo

I know, I promised it long ago.  But here are our photos from the Dallas Zoo.  They're pretty self-explanatory.
